I posted this at the community I belong to, coffee_pictures, but I thought that many of you may enjoy this, as well. I know I am not the only "Java addict" in here!

Today on YouTube, I found a very cool and rather beautiful coffee art display video by someone on there by the handle of Minfeizhang. I do believe the actual coffee artist, himself, was named Sammy Lin, for his name was on most of the coffee art pictures shown on this video.

I liked this video quite a lot for two reasons: A. Some of the designs he's done, I've never seen anyone do before and B. he put the visuals to some very nice classical music.

So overall, this is very artistically done and beautiful. See for yourselves and enjoy! :)

This is a GREAT song and video Annie Lennox did for World Aids Day 2007 but of course, it's still relevant now.

I'm such a senile minded dolt sometimes, I swear. That Christmas meme I sent around and I said that the Original "Miracle on 34th Street" was my favorite Christmas movie, well....I'd say it's in my top 5, but "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and this one, "The Polar Express" are the one's that REALLY get to me a lot, too. Especially this scene from "The Polar Express" when the two children sing that song "When Christmas Comes To Town." I can't wait to see this in 3-D this year. I'm sure it will be mind blowing!

Dear Santa... Dear Santa, This year I've been busy! In May I gave grrm a kidney (1000 points). In March I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points). Last Monday karlamel_kisses and I donated clothes to the needy (11 points). In January I donated bone marrow to carelessmemory in a life-saving procedure (300 points). Today is a very special day, indeed, for it is the 50th Birthday for one of my all-time favorite movie directors, Tim Burton. I love the man for his originality and for bucking the system time and time again. He does things the way HE wants them, critics be damned. I sure as hell can't WAIT for his 3-D, part live-action, part animated version of "Alice in Wonderland" sometime next year ( I hope ). Since so many good movies I've been looking forward have been moved back 6 months to a year is why I added that last sentiment.

So Happy 50th Birthday, Tim. Thank you for all of your years of wonderment and joy.



In honor of his 50th, I am posting this vid of his short film, "Vincent". This movie and his other B&W short classic, "Frankenweenie", are available on the Special Edition of "A Nightmare Before Christmas" DVD. I know there is a new, 2-disc one coming out this week, but I don't know if this one, like I one I own, will have these two shorts on it as well, or not.

I will put "Frankenweenie" under the cut, in the 3-parts I found it in at You Tube for those of you who've never seen it. I LOVE that movie. Such a great cast and story. Another reason to love Tim for!
